About Me
Ever since I was a little girl I have always wanted to be a mother. I used to carry around anything that resembled a baby doll and "nurse" them just like my mom would do with my younger sister. Now I have four beautifully unique and amazing children of my own. I absolutely love being a mother. It brings me the most joy and most heartache, the most worry and most satisfaction, the most angst and most peace that I could have ever imagined possible.
Luckily I have a partner in crime to take me through this craziness of motherhood. My husband Eric and I have been blissfully and blessedly married for the last twenty years. I don't know where I would be without him by my side. He is my best friend, my truest confidant, and my eternal companion.
I have a difficult time sitting still and doing nothing. Those who know me well, know that there is a continual project going on at my house, with another one rolling around in my head. I also have a hard time saying "no" to anything that sounds like it could be even a little bit fun or trying something new. Case in point: a rockin' karaoke party for our last book club meeting....all I can say is that it was EPIC and I will never hear Debbie Gibson's "Eternal Flame" the same way again! I love to sing, I love to read, and I am rediscovering how much I love to write. Although the idea of becoming the new all-American novelist still seems like an impossible mist of a dream, I haven't chalked it out of the realm of possibility.
Since my family is of utmost importance to me, I am continually striving to find ways of improving our relationships. I rely on our commitment to each other, an abundant dose of humor, the support of friends, and especially the rock of my faith to help me discover ways of finding that perfect balance.
Please join me on this journey as I explore ways to add balance to my life through my family, my faith, and my friends.
